Musings of a Sick Person

I was asking myself why there need be consecrated men and women, aside from the obvious – that they are to dedicate themselves completely to His work. After reading some passages from the autobiography of St. Therese, God seemed to say that He desires consecrated people because He wishes to reveal Himself to them in a special way.
It is better to pray even without meaning the words – yet with a heart that is earnestly seeking God’s will – than not to pray at all!
When I was young, I used to think that I could be saved through my own efforts... Now I feel that I can only be saved through the prayers of others.
All is grace. God can easily grant us anything we need. But if we should suffer, then let us be grateful for God’s will, for He is only asking us to persevere/ endure.
I should not be afraid if I ask a favour of God wrongly, for He will always see through my intention and grant me what’s better.
I believe that every blessing or miracle God has bestowed on others, I can claim as a blessing or miracle bestowed on me.
I used to envy the saints and religious because God seems to have favoured them with extraordinary graces, while I feel myself so much less "endowed." Now I am not troubled by the thought anymore, because even with my poor and frail heart, I can love Jesus with the uniquely Krizchelle heart that He created.
O St. Therese & St. Faustina, please ask Jesus to give me supreme trust and confidence in Him, so that my life may become a hymn of love for God.
