Getting up from Falls

I realized something liberating... So what if everything falls apart? It is but a temporary setback. The fall may be hard, it may be a very low point, but we can rise again, rebuild. Haven’t I been learning that in the past 4 years? God has been teaching me that. And now God is teaching me even more that I can rise after every fall.

Panginoon, isulat Mo ang mga aral Mo sa aking puso. Maging bahagi nawa sila ng aking pagkatao. Sa Ngalan ni Jesus. Amen.

God's Will

You did what you could.
Still, circumstances did not go as planned.
It must be God’s will.
Submit.

God's Time

Okay lang if you didn't accomlish all your tasks today.
You did what you could.
God gives you many tomorrows.

Ang Pamamaraan ng Diyos

Ang taong inaayawan ko... siya pa ang ginamit ng Panginoon upang masagot ang isa sa mga panalangin ko.

Maganap nawa ang Iyong kalooban!

Lovely Collection of Messages

Time and again, the Lord graciously sends messages to help me along the way. Here were some of them especially taught on the17th of October 2011:

Prayer and sacrifice are my invincible weapons. – St. Therese of Lisieux

Hindi ako nag-aalala. God is good. – Sis. Salva

The Father knows what we need before we ask. –Jesus

God is the ‘impossible’ expert.

Hot or cold lang. No lukewarm.

Why forgive?

Just as God has forgiven our trespasses, so must we forgive our brethren's trespasses. |
The grain of sand which so hurts (wounds) us , when given to God, Jesus turns into our 'pearl' of great price. He can turn the bad into good. |
Practically, if you keep a grudge, you are only hurting yourself. |
And life is not mainly determined by external circumstances, but by our reactions to them. So always choose the good.

Trust. Pray. Work.

Eat. Pray. Love. Good pieces of advice from a movie.
But what if we feel so burdened, depressed, swamped by problems that we cannot escape from?
I asked God what I needed to do more. I was trying to do my best to cope, but still I felt anxious.
The answer came in a text message the next day.
And God let the words seep through my heart.
Trust. Pray. Work.
...I felt PEACE.

Maraming salamat po!

Jesus was the greatest gift that God gave to Israel, but the people envisioned the Messiah to be their political liberator. Thus, they were blind to Jesus' presence in their midst.

Similarly, I believe that our blessings could already be right in front of us, but we may have something else in our minds so that we cannot see what God gives us.

We must have eyes of faith in order to perceive our blessings. Waking up in the morning, our health, faculties (sight, touch, hearing, smell, taste), running water from the faucet, the very air we breathe... all these are blessings. We have to be sensitive to what our Provider bequeaths us daily :)

Conversations with God

Catechist: Ang Lord, gusto ng (pag)papakumbaba; ayaw Niya ng nagmamataas.

Sa lahat ng mga sinabi ng katekista, ang mga simpleng salitang ito, na matagal na rin nating alam, ang tumatak sa aking puso sa mga pagkakataong iyon. Sagot ng aking puso: Salamat po, Lord. Pag nahihirapan akong magdasal, lalapit na lang ako sa Iyo at sasabihing, "Lord, I cannot pray (properly)."

Pag may nagtanong sa akin, Why should I love God? what shall I tell the soul? Tinanong ko ito sa Diyos recently. Tinanong ko rin kasi ito sa Kanya matagal na. I do not wish to enter into theological discussions, except when asked for (ngek, kaya ko kaya yun). Pero there are doctrines which Christians accept by faith, and open people experience in their lives..

..Dahil nauna Niya tayong inibig ("Because God loved us first" - Ito sa palagay ko ang pinakaimportante =)
..Dahil namatay Siya para sa atin
..Dahil Siya ang Liwanag ng ating kadiliman, ang Buhay ng ating kamatayan
..Dahil and Diyos ay Kabutihan. Kung walang Diyos, walang kabutihan.

No pushing

If you can't get a point, will you push yourself to get it? I did for a while, but later I more clearly saw that a point cannot be forced through argument. Maybe it will come on its own, in due time...
