Aug. 10 Thank You

Thank You, Lord Jesus, that by loving us so much, You took the form of man and united it forever to Your divine Nature. By so doing, the Father whom we have not seen, we now see in You, and we know that He is merciful and compassionate.
Thank You, that You offered Your Heart on the Cross, and thus opened up the Fountain of Life for us. In the same way, You were not content in simply becoming human, that You also became our Bread, and united to Your Sacrifice on the Cross in this Sacrament, You share with us Your Life.
Thank You, Lord, that by receiving Your Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Most Blessed Sacrament, You give us Life.

Sept 25 Prayers

Panginoon, sa mismong sandaling makalimot ako, ipaalala Mo lang kung sino talaga ako – isang makasalanan.

Lord, when I fail, please help me not to be bitter, but with Your grace, have the courage to start anew.

Father, You kow that I want him for myself, yet if it is Your desire that he should serve You as a priest, then not my will but Thine be done!

Musings of a Sick Person

I was asking myself why there need be consecrated men and women, aside from the obvious – that they are to dedicate themselves completely to His work. After reading some passages from the autobiography of St. Therese, God seemed to say that He desires consecrated people because He wishes to reveal Himself to them in a special way.
It is better to pray even without meaning the words – yet with a heart that is earnestly seeking God’s will – than not to pray at all!
When I was young, I used to think that I could be saved through my own efforts... Now I feel that I can only be saved through the prayers of others.
All is grace. God can easily grant us anything we need. But if we should suffer, then let us be grateful for God’s will, for He is only asking us to persevere/ endure.
I should not be afraid if I ask a favour of God wrongly, for He will always see through my intention and grant me what’s better.
I believe that every blessing or miracle God has bestowed on others, I can claim as a blessing or miracle bestowed on me.
I used to envy the saints and religious because God seems to have favoured them with extraordinary graces, while I feel myself so much less "endowed." Now I am not troubled by the thought anymore, because even with my poor and frail heart, I can love Jesus with the uniquely Krizchelle heart that He created.
O St. Therese & St. Faustina, please ask Jesus to give me supreme trust and confidence in Him, so that my life may become a hymn of love for God.
