A Good Leader

A good leader is one who leads not by himself, but who gets his direction from God; and so he does not take any credit, but rather, acknowledges everything as coming from God, without whom nothing good can come to be.

Hindi Perpekto ang Buhay ng Tao

Paulit-ulit kong pinaaalis ng acetone ang nail polish kay Mama dahil hindi ako masiyahan sa pagkakapintura ng isang kuko. Sabi ni Mama, “Kahit hindi perfect, ok na ‘yan.” Tumatak ito sa puso at isip ko bilang isang mahalagang aral sa aking buhay. Kaya ngayon, pag hindi masyadong maganda ang pagkakapintura ko, iniisip ko na lang (na tila batang napipilitan ngunit masaya na) ang sinabi ni Mama habang tinitignan ang kuko: “Pwede na ‘yan, kahit hindi perfect.”

Love Your Enemies

If someone is bothering you, do not harbor your burning thoughts. Keep your thoughts of the other out of your mind and just go on - “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you...” - and then thank God He gives you this opportunity to be more like Him, to live His Gospel, trusting in Him to deliver you to good.
